As a 600-year-old institution, it’s no surprise that the University of St Andrews is known across the globe as a world leader in education. Our consistently high rankings in both national and global league tables place us within the top 1% of world universities.
In both the Sunday Times University Guide 2015 and the 2015 Guardian University Guide, the University of St Andrews is ranked as the third best university in the UK. We were also named Scottish University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times University Guide 2015, for the second year running.
We were ranked joint top in the National Student Survey 2014 with 93% of students satisfied with the overall quality of their university education. Five subjects – Computer Science, Geography, Molecular Biology, Anthropology and Divinity – achieved satisfaction levels of 100%.
